Dr. Nalbandyan serves as Team Lead for the REACH Program, where she oversees day-to-day operations, including research service delivery, participant recruitment and enrollment, data and biospecimen collection, protocol development, and IRB submissions. In addition, she is a Data Scientist at SMPH Informatics and Information Technology, conducting research that leverages real-world data and informatics best practices to advance precision medicine and population health.
Past Experience
Marine Nalbandyan, MD, PhD, MPH, brings over 15 years of expertise in medicine and public health, encompassing clinical practice, policy development, and research. Her prior work includes designing and implementing epidemiological studies focused on birth defects and eye diseases. She has also contributed to graduate-level education, assisting in courses such as POP HLTH 694: Applied Biomedical Informatics & Real-World Data for Precision Medicine & Population Health, developed and taught by REACH Principal Investigator Dr. Jomol Mathew.
Education
Dr. Nalbandyan earned her Medical Degree (MD) from Yerevan State Medical University and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the American University of Armenia. She also completed a PhD in Epidemiology at the University at Albany, State University of New York.
